Summer vacation--time off :) & :(

Dear all,

This is going to be my first time off since I've started lifting seriously in Oct, 2010. As much as I'm looking forward to this trip, I feel bad that I wouldn't be able to go to a gym. I'll be traveling to Newfoundland, Canada where I'm going to spend a month between visiting different towns and doing lots of outdoor activities-hiking and camping.

I'm thinking that I must not mess up my diet, I'll also try to jog, do ground work and pull ups.. I know I'll come back recharged and ready to some insane workout!

Will keep you posted!

Cheers

Nutrition

Since late October 2010, I have decided to become more aware of my food intake. In order to achieve the physique of my dream, In order to hit my goal, I had to give up bad food for 'good'. The list of foods that I gave up is too long, I can sum it up by saying: No more sugar, no more fat and no more white bread or pasta. I eat 4 meals a day. I follow an advice I've heard on youtube, in each meal I must include a fist size of protein (chicken, beef, fish), a fist size of carb (whole wheat pasta, whole grain rice, potatoes) and finally a fist size of mixed vegetables. For breakfast I have 4-5 egg whites with brown toast and a banana. Sometimes I have a bowl of all bran cereal. In the evening I fill up on fruits. I'd like to educate myself more about this topic. I'd love to hear your suggestions or comments. Cheers.

I began lifting light weights and focusing more on building up cardio endurance. I've also changed the way I eat, I've become more aware of what gets into my body.. it's been a little over six months now.. I feel great and much much healthier. I realize still have a long way to go...I'll post some pictures soon. See you.
